Prayer Room

Central to the Heart of our church is our prayer room. We want to keep prayer at the core of all we do and the source from which we do all things. We believe God answers prayer and God is glorified in our answered prayer..

Even then I will bring to My holy mountain, And make them joyful in My house of prayer. Their burnt offerings and their sacrifices Will be accepted on My altar; For My house shall be called a house of prayer for all nations. – Isaiah 56:7

And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. – John 14:13

Scripture teaches that prayer is deeply connected to the fullness of God’s power and purpose being released. We are offering Jesus unceasing worship, while contending for justice and for the power of the Holy Spirit to be manifest and bring transformation in every sphere of society.

What to do in the Prayer Room?

We want you to feel comfortable whether you are a participant or a visitor. While in the prayer room, feel free to sing along with the worship team, read your Bible, study a favourite commentary, write in your journal or just pray. You may sit, stand or even pray in the spirit. Whatever you do, we ask that you do it in a manner that honours and serves the other people who are in the room too.

Intercession sets are usually energetic as the room is invited to engage in corporate prayer. These prayer times will have a specific prayer focus communicated by the prayer leader and individuals in the room are welcome to pray on the microphone, as and when instructed by the prayer leader. There will be times of “rapid-fire prayer” when, one by one, people are invited to pray short prayers on the microphone along a specific theme. Our only request is that prayer is kept focused. There will always be an assigned prayer leader for every set and they are available to pray for you personally or release somebody else to do so.
