CORONAVIRUS (COVID-19) UPDATE FROM SENIOR PASTORS
Dear Capstone family & friends,
In light of the current global coronavirus (COVID-19) situation, we have been keeping up to date with advice from the World Health Organization and the UK government.
ADVICE FOR THE PUBLIC
INFORMATION FOR THE PUBLIC
As a leadership team, we have been meeting regularly over the last few weeks to review all of our efforts in relation to this crisis. Our priority has been and continues to be the welfare of our Capstone family and our wider communities as well as being able to watch out for the most vulnerable.
We now want to update you on some further steps we feel we need to take, which include the following:
SUNDAY SERVICES
From this Sunday 22 March, we will be moving to online services for the foreseeable future and will not be gathering in any of our locations. Our live services can be accessed by clicking this link – www.youtube.com/capstonelondon
Prayer Rooms and UNITE groups
Following government advice, we have decided to pause all Prayer Room and unite group gatherings in all our locations. This makes it all the more important for us to find creative ways to stay connected as a family. Right now, we are planning to help unite groups continue to meet together through the use of video technology. Unite group leaders will be in touch with their respective groups with more details.
We will be having an online 1 hour prayer meeting on Tuesday nights from 7-8 PM. We’re calling it ‘the Gathering’ so that we can all gather around in our homes and spend time in prayer, worship and breaking of bread.
WATCHING OUT FOR OTHERS
At this time, we need to live as Kingdom Ambassadors, watching out for others, especially for the elderly people in our families and communities.
As this situation continues to unfold, let’s be praying for our families and for our nation, the government and for frontline healthcare workers. We have an incredible opportunity to reach out as the people of God, bringing peace and hope in the midst of great uncertainty and fear. So, let’s be as proactive as possible in allowing the light of Jesus to shine through us at this time.
Please keep returning to this page for essential updates.
With our love,
Rakesh Kurian and Preethy Kurian
